Smokin’ Britney Spears Caught Breaking The Law

Britney Spears broke the law Wednesday -but she may not even know it.

The pop princess was snapped in Calabasas, California smoking in public while on a date with her boyfriend, Jason Tarwick.

Britney decided to light up at the local Calabasas Commons, a popular shopping center, on a public walkway.  There were kids nearby.  So what’s the big deal, you ask?

Calabasas  has the strict smoking ban in the United States: smoking anywhere a non-smoker could congregate, including public sidewalks and apartment complexes, is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of at least $250.

Fortunately for Brit, there wasn’t a cop in sight.
